Product descriptions and images
We describe our spikes, mats and guards as accurately as we can, and we state the material, base width, strip length, pack count and total coverage exactly as the manufacturer publishes them. Colors can appear differently on different screens, stainless steel and plastic vary slightly in finish from one batch to the next, and stated coverage is the total length of the strips in the pack before cutting, so small differences between an image or a stated measurement and the item you receive are normal and not a fault.
Results depend on the installation
Spikes, mats and guards work by removing the surface a bird or animal uses. How well they work depends on measuring the whole run, covering it without gaps and fixing the product correctly to a clean surface, which is in your hands. Anything we say about keeping birds, cats, raccoons or squirrels away is general guidance based on how these products are normally used, not a guarantee of a particular result on your property. They are not a substitute for professional pest control where an infestation, a health hazard or a structural problem exists.
Humane use and protected wildlife
Our products are designed to move animals on, not to trap or harm them. Most wild birds in the United States are protected under federal law, and that protection covers active nests.
